Come support the WJHA U12 Girls team who will be playing in the State League Finals on Wednesday, March 3rd at 8:00PM in the West Warwick ice rink.

WJHA Annual Golf Outing and Barbecue - Volunteers Needed
We are not yet near the end of the hockey season for WJHA, but we have already begun planning for the 2010-
11 season. In the spirit of looking towards the future, the League is pleased to announce its Annual Golf Outing
and Barbecue will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 12 noon (shotgun start at 1:00 p.m., rain or shine) at
the North Kingstown Golf Course. Please save the date.
As you know, Warwick Junior Hockey is a total volunteer organization and we are looking for your help with this annual fund raising event. At this point, we are asking for volunteers to serve on the committee to help organize and run this year’s Golf Outing and Dinner. ..more.. |

WJHA U12 Girls and Peewee A teams win Thanksgiving Tournament
Congratulations to the WJHA U12 Girls and Peewee A teams for winning their divisions during the WJHA 23rd Annual Thanksgiving Tournament. For more information on each teams win, click the link below their team picture. Both pictures were taken by Team Photo Shots. Visit their site to view and purchase additional photos from this year's tournament.  The Warwick Wave U12 Girls went 3-0 in round robin play before beating the RI Panther’s Teen Team in the finals (4-1) on route to winning the 2 nd Annual Girls’ Division of the Warwick Jr. Hockey Thanksgiving Tournament over the long weekend....more..  For only the third time in WJHA tournament history, a WJHA team took home the championship plaque! The WHJA Peewee A team won the league’s 23rd annual Thanksgiving Tournament by defeating SRI in the finals by a score of 3-2. In the semi-finals, WJHA knocked off the #2 seed Casco Bay by a score of 3-1. During Pool Play, the team beat SRI (5-2) and Western Mass Blades (2-0), tied CLCF (2-2), and lost to Casco Bay (2-4). ...more... |

WJHA Instructional/Mite House P-Bruins Weekend A Huge Success
 During the weekend of November 21st & 22nd the WJHA Instructional and Mite House League prgrams played games at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. Over 500 WJHA fans turned out to see the games and cheer for the teams. |

WJHA Squirt C Team Wins NRI Thanksgiving Tournament
 The Squirt C Travel Team went undefeated, posting a 3-0-1 record, in route to winning their division of the NRI Thanksgiving Tournament. Superb goaltending, and a stingy defense, allowed just 5 goals while a potent attack from the offense netted 12. |

 The WJHA Midget Mnior team capped off a successful season by winning the State League championship versus Newport on Saturday November 14th at Thayer Arena. |

"Hockey Scores for Hunger"- Food Drive
In the spirit of thankfulness WJHA is proud to announce in conjunction with Warwick Junior Hockey Association’s 23rd annual hockey tournament, we will be holding the “Hockey Scores for Hunger!” campaign to benefit the Warwick Food Pantry. Update: The "Hockey Scores for Hunger" food drive brought in over 400 lbs. of non-perishable food items during the 23rd Annual WJHA Thanksgiving Tournament.
A donation was made to the Warwick Food Pantry; part of the RI Community Food Bank to help those in need.

WJHA Bantam A Wins Saints Tournament
Over the Columbus Day holiday weekend, the WJHA Bantam A team captured the championship of the RI Saints Octoberfest tournament. In pool play, the team had wins over NECDL (7-1), Edgewood (4-3), Manchester Flames (7-0), as well as a 2-2 tie against the RI Saints. This setup a tournament final rematch against the RI Saints that ultimately went into sudden death overtime before the WJHA Bantams would win the championship.
